Campbell Soup adding juice line to Paris operations
There was major excitement in October as Campbell Soup announced their upcoming expansion! This expansion will bring V8 Juice, V8 Splash and V8 Fusion beverage manufacturing to the Paris facility. This expansion includes $1.1 million improvement to existing building and approximately $46 million in new machinery and equipment. It will also create 57 new primary jobs at Campbell Soup. These jobs will be high-skill, high-wage jobs and a significant investment is being made in worker training.
Campbell Soup has been in Paris for more than 40 years. This expansion and investment solidifies Campbell Soup’s support for the Paris, Texas community.
There was a special announcement and ribbon cutting ceremony held at the site of the new juice line on October 16, 2008. In attendance were David Biegger, vice president, North American Supply Chain — Soup, Sauces & Beverages; Mike Winkler, vice president operations; Mike Novak, plant manager; US Representative Ralph Hall; Paris Mayor Jesse Freelen; Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville; city and county officials; Chamber board members and ambassadors and a host of Campbell Soup staff.
